Fathi Al Balushi
Chief Executive Officer
Fathi Al Balushi
Fathi joined OBIC in 2014 from Ernst & Young. His role includes deal structuring, debt and equity placement, deal originations and feasibility studies. He has more than 10 years’ experience in corporate finance which spans across different sectors including power & utilities, logistics, health care, education, financial services, manufacturing, in addition to his current area of expertise real estate.
Fathi holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the Sultanate of Oman.

Asim Mohamed Al Zadjali
Investment Manager
Asim joined OBIC in May 2014. He has over 13 years of experience in banking, financial advisory and private equity sector in the Sultanate of Oman. Prior to OBIC, he worked for HSBC Bank Middle East, Ernst & Young and Oman Investment Corporation SAOC. Asim has undertaken various certification courses at top institutes such as London Business School, Amsterdam Institute of Finance and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Mohammed Fida Hussain Al Lawati
Finance Manager
Mohammed has over 7 years of work experience in Finance and Accounts department. Prior to OBIC, he worked with Oman National Investment Corporation Holding SAOG & Electricity Holding Company. He holds a MBA from Bedfordshire University, UK and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Luton University, UK.

Wissam Al Ismaili
Asset Manager
Wissam joined OBIC as a Senior Analyst in May 2016. She began her career as a consultant at Ernst & Young, where she spent three years in the Transaction Advisory Services team conducting market and feasibility studies, strategic studies, as well as financial due diligence exercises. While her sector experience spans across a range of industries, her core focus is education and healthcare.
Wissam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Finance and Financial Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She has also been an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2010 and holds an Islamic Finance Qualification from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Haifa Khalifa Al Shukaily
Junior Accountant
Haifa has over 4 years of work experience. She is responsible for supporting the accounting function in OBIC and its select portfolio companies. Prior to joining OBIC, she was working with Ooredoo Telecommunications in Qatar as a customer service representative. She holds a Diploma in software engineering from Coventry University and is pursuing her Bachelors in Finance & Accounts from Middle East College, Oman.
